The dynamic floral deco stripe print used for this 1930's silk day dress has a fresh innocence that I find irresistible. The bodice has the most unique tiered ruffle split-sleeves and front slit for an optional scarf detail. The dress tapers into a fitted waist where it then breaks into a skilled zig-zag design. The piece work to create the skirting in particular is extraordinary -it skims the body and then flares out near the bottom. It is amazing that a dress with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. A beautiful example of 1930's forward thinking fashion.

This 1930's floral deco stripe print couture dress is in excellent wearable condition with no visible rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working side metal snaps. Only sign of wear is some faint color darkening to parts of the print from age which is not noticeable when worn. This garment is over 80 years old and is truly spectacular.
