Vibrant red-orange and purple wool ensemble by the high-end Boston couturier Leondaca. This dynamic set, dating back to the mid 1960's, reads so fresh and modern. The fabrics alone are a masterpiece; rich fully-lined woven wool with dynamic large-scale graphic op art applique. I love the unique detailing of this set with its bold block coloring and modernist approach. The sleeveless bodice has an ultra flattering curved waist which is hard to find with space-age looks. Tailored pencil skirting is cut to skim over your curves. The matching suit jacket is cropped with chic lean sleeves; a statement piece in it's own right. A truly gorgeous ensemble and a beautiful example of the forward thinking from this swinging era.

This Leondaca couture ensemble is in excellent wearable condition with hand-stitching throughout. Perfectly working back zipper and full lining. Only signs of age are a few faint dirt spots on the jacket back sleeve and two minor surface moth nibbles which do not go through the fabric. A rare piece of wearable history.
