The breathtaking watercolor floral rose-garden print used in this late 1920's silk-chiffon flapper ensemble has a fresh innocence that I find irresistible. The bodice has an elegant sleeveless plunge with smocked shoulders. The matching jacket has unique flying panel cut-out sleeves, a wide shawl-collar and three dimensional layered backside. I love the way this ensemble flows when you walk! The piece work to create the skirting in particular is extraordinary; the belted drop-waist skims the body while the tiers give the garment wonderful texture. The stylized charm of the silk-chiffon fabric personify the feminine ideal in clothing. It is amazing that a dress with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. So romance and rare!
