1930's Metallic Gold Textured Lamé Backless Bias-Cut Couture Gown

$1,500.00 USD

ID: 1113192

Size: small

Condition: Excellent

A luxurious "Registered Designer with the Fashion Originators Guild" metallic gold shimmer lamé gown from the "Old Hollywood" era of glamour. The bodice has a sculpted plunge with seductive cut-out backlesss. The lower skirt is added in pointed inset seamed pieces typical of the time period and insanely hard to do on bias-cut fabric. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust, skims the hip and flares out below the knee with beautiful mermaid flair. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture. Here is a gown with attitude and elegant.

Measurements (varies due to bias-cut design)
Bust: 34-36 inches
Waist: 24-26 inches
Hips: up to 37 inches
Total Length: 60 inches

This rare "Registered Designer with the Fashion Originators Guild" evening dress is in excellent wearable condition with no rips, stains or holes. After close inspection, we found some faint tarnished-lame which is not noticeable when worn. This gown is over 80 years old and is truly spectacular.
