Gorgeous Jean-Louis Scherrer numbered couture dress dating back to his 1975 collection. Jean-Louis studied fashion at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris and once finished, began working at the house of Dior alongside Yves Saint Laurent. It was at Dior that he perfected his cutting and draping skills. In 1962, Scherrer began his own couture house and was instantly known for his elegant evening wear. This breathtaking hand-painted metallic floral silk organza gown is a wonderful example of his genius. The bodice has dramatic flutter-sleeves with stunning covered-button backside. I love the hourglass belted waist or optional scarf-tie! The figure flattering skirt is shaped with princess-line seams that add fullness without adding bulk in the hips. This is that versatile unique garment every fashionista looks for. Museum quality showstopper!
