Breathtaking Louis Feraud orange & white striped vinyl trench coat from his 1968 collection. Feraud's career started when he opened his first French boutique in 1955. As luck would have it, Brigitte Bardot bought one of his dresses and the attention this brought to the store helped to establish his name. Along with Pierre Cardin and Courreges, he revolutionized the fashion world with space-age mod clothing. I love the wide collar and lean, long sleeves. The bodice has two large decorative pockets at the waist and two hidden slit-pockets on the side. The flattering a-line construction emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. Pieces like this are becoming harder and harder to find due to their historical value. A beautiful museum quality treasure that can be worn all year long.
