1920's Cecile et Lafontan Grecian Silk-Chiffon Flapper Dress
Total Length:44 inches
Cecile et Lafontan was one of the smaller couture houses operating during the art-deco era. This breathtaking garment, all hand-stitched, is fashioned in grecian-patterned soft silk-velvet and an overlay of sheer silk-chiffon. The bodice has a beautiful asymmetric-drape which attaches at the drop-waist. The backside has a classic tie-belt. Couture collectors are often drawn initially to the brilliance of vintage textiles. The mix of stunning fabrics ,along with its complex construction, makes this a Parisian rarity.
This antique french couture dress is in excellent wearable condition with no stains, rips or holes. The dress has two different labels- one of the couture house and the other is the model name for this particular piece. This garment is over 90 years old and is truly breathtaking!
