1960's Shannon Rodgers Pink Silk Chiffon & Ostrich-Feathers Gown
Length top to waist:11 inches
Length waist to hem:42 inches
Spectacular 1960's silk-chiffon strapless gown by the famous Shannon Rodgers. Rodgers started her career designing for the movies and later worked at Martini, a dress company that did adaptations of Paris designs. Rodgers continued this practice with her own garments and was known for the Americanized versions of Balenciaga designs. The elegant simplicity of the strapless shift construction compliments the dramatic ostrich-feather hemline. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture. I totally see this garment gliding down the red carpet.
This designer garment is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working hidden-zipper and side-snaps. This item is over 40 years old and is truly stunning.
