1970's Thea Porter Ecru-Chiffon Metallic Threaded Grecian Gown
ID: 77889
Size: S
Condition: Excellent
$1200.00 USD

Breathtaking early "Thea Porter" couture dress fashioned in ecru pure-silk lined semi-sheer chiffon. I love the low-cut plunge scoopneck and the sheer bell-sleeves. The entire dress has sparkling metallic-gold threaded lame trimming. The silhouette is a flattering empire shelf-bust tea-length with a middle-pleated flowing skirt. Thea Porter was largely inspired by fashion from the Victorian and Renaissance eras. This is easily identifiable by intricately decorated and layered fabric. During the early 1970's, her clothing attracted many celebrity customers who enjoyed wearing her erotic, yet comfortable, creations whose secret was to conceal rather than reveal.
