An amazing and highly stylized 1940's cocktail dress by "Sobie & Davis". The silhouette is classic pin-up "femme fatale"; the skirt is deliciously lean but is cut on the bias so moved and drapes to fit the vixen wearing it. The bodice is ultra seductive with its gathered low-cut plunge. My favorite part is the embroidered watercolor floral-applique dolman sleeves. The ruffle nipped-waist peplum really flatters the waistline. You do not easily find this level of workmanship on garments today.
