  • 1930's Arthur Weiss Blue & Ivory Floral Print Silk Balloon-Sleeve Dress

A simply stunning late 1930's Arthur Weiss designer dress fashioned in a beautiful gradient blue and ivory floral silk. The print alone is so striking! Arthur Weiss has been noted as being the largest maker of dresses in the United States during this time and I can see why. The bodice has gorgeous gathered shoulders and voluminous balloon sleeves in the same hue but reversed. So clever! This figure flattering garment, with matching sash belt, skims the hip and falls to a chic tea length. A elegant example of American fashion design during this era. The pictures say it all!

    Measurements
    Bust: 36-38 inches
Waist: 32 inches (belt used to make smaller)
    Hips: up to 40 inches
    Sleeve Length: 25 inches
    Total Length: 50 inches

This 1930's Arthur Weiss floral print designer dress is in excellent wearable condition with no visible rips, stains or holes. Closes with side metal-snaps and elasticized cuffs for balloon sleeve effect. Only sign of age is some minor wear by the underarm seams. Please message for detailed pictures. This garment is over 80 years old and is truly spectacular.
