  • 1950's Rosalie Macrini Couture Cream Silk Strapless Bridal Wedding Gown

    ID: 107231
    Size: small
    Condition: Excellent

An absolutely breathtaking and incredibly rare Rosalie Macrini cream silk taffeta strapless full skirted ballgown dating back to the late 1950's. Rosalie Macrini had her start designing for the famous Barbara Costume Company in New York, going on to buy the business in 1954. Macrini was best known for opulent evening looks and for her unique use of extravagant fabrics. As you can see, this designer was heavily influenced by Christian Dior and any French inspired fashion pieces from this period are truly coveted. The fabric used is of the highest quality; mid weight cream silk-faille with the finest interior boned structure. The bodice of this gown is an alluring slightly scalloped strapless design that showcases a woman's captivating bustline. The beautiful piping along the bodice is also mirrored throughout the skirting. So lovely! The fitted nipped-waist with back bow detail gives the garment the most flattering silhouette. This epic gown would make such a stunning bridal or red carpet look!
