The House of Worth was an elite French house of high fashion that specializes in gorgeous custom clothing. The historic house was founded in 1858 by English designer Charles Frederick Worth. The house remained successful under Worth's descendants but faced increasing competition until finally closing in 1956. This is a rare chance to own a designer couture two-piece dress made before this iconic house shut their doors forever. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; high-quality mid weight silk in a vibrant magenta and black abstract garden motif. The bodice has a stunning scoopneck plunge with sculpted short sleeves and over-sized detachable portrait shawl-collar. Two chic looks in one outfit.
