  • 1970's Loris Azzaro Couture Yellow Ombre Beaded Silk-Jersey Halter Gown

Loris Azzaro is famous for creating glamorous and provocative customized gowns for celebrity elite. His timeless designs were favorites to actresses such as Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren and Nicole Kidman. Seduction and allurement are an inherent part of the Azzaro image, resulting from a relationship to the body founded on freedom. This "freedom" of mind and body marked the 1970's as a decade with no restrictions; where avant-garde fashion and photography celebrated bareness. This iconic Loris Azzaro gown, dating back to the mid-1970's, is a wonderful example of his genius. The garment is fashioned from vibrant yellow silk-jersey with hand crafted ombré glass beadwork. The bodice has a seductive low-cut plunge halter and backless design. The gorgeous full-length skirt gathers just below the beaded panel, creating a flattering, effortlessly look. As Loris Azzaro once said, "Fashion is closely linked to eroticism." The pictures say it all.

Measurements (varies a bit due to fabric stretch)
    Bust: 32-35 inches
    Waist: 25-28 inches
    Hips: up to 40 inches

This Loris Azzaro Paris Couture gown is in excellent condition with no rips, holes or stains. Perfectly working back-zipper. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
