  • 1976 Chanel Haute-Couture Rare Beaded Lesage Silk Jacket & Pleated Dress Skirt

Chanel is known to be one of the most luxurious and decadent fashion houses in the world. This breathtaking ivory-creme formal ensemble, documented from their 1976 Spring/Summer collection, is a perfect example of why this couture brand has stood the test of time. Not only is this opulent creation very rare; it is so timeless and elegant. Fashioned from mid-weight silk crepe, the jacket has exquisite hand-stitched glass beadwork and heavily embellished crystals in relief by the House of Lesage. The fabric itself is a masterpiece-couture embroidery houses such as Lesage were used for embellishment and represent hundreds of hours of artistic handwork. The stripe pattern in densely packed clusters have a stunning lifelike three-dimensional quality. A take on the classic cardigan, it is unbelievably easy. The bodice has a refined high scoopneck with tailored front plunge. I love the matching high nipped-waist heavily pleated full-length skirt which was never worn as all hand-finishings are still in place. A true museum quality iconic ensemble that you will treasure for years and years to come.

    Measurements
    Long Jacket Bust: 33-34 inches
    Sleeve Length: 23 inches
    Total Length: 46 inches
    Matching Skirt Waist: 25 inches
    Hips: 36 inches
    Total Length: 41 inches

This 1976 Chanel Haute-Couture numbered ensemble is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. A few very small areas of loose bead-work which is minor and not noticeable when worn. The inside is immaculate and all hand-finished. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
