1970 Norman Norell Documented Brown Velvet & Ivory-White Mink Fur Princess Coat

This breathtaking Norman Norell designer coat was famously featured on the cover of French Vogue back in September 1970. As pictured, it also belonged to his house model and muse, Denise. This gorgeous garment, in rich chocolate brown velvet and genuine mink, exemplifies his signature blend of couture-level with quintessentially American style. It is easy to see the level of quality in this piece; the fur is extremely supple and soft. The mink is pieced together in horizontal stripes set extremely close together and matched perfectly for pile and color.
