Gorgeous Halston Couture metallic lurex knit dress ensemble dating back to the mid 1970's. Throughout most of the seventies he epitomized the glamour, as well as the decadence of the era, becoming a central figure in the nightlife scene of New York's Studio 54. This seductive ruby-red beauty is a perfect example of his genius. The whole garment is fashioned from sparkling light-weight lurex silk knit which feels wonderful on the skin. The bodice has a chic sheer illusion plunge and sculpted dolman-sleeves. I love the ruched shoulder detail and open-slit backside design. The nipped waist full swing skirting finishes the dress off with such a flattering silhouette. The thin-strap double layered slip could easily be worn on it's own. This is that timeless look every fashionista looks for. The pictures say it all.
