  • 1965 Pierre Balmain Haute-Couture Ivory Beaded Metallic Lace Strapless Gown

Breathtaking Pierre Balmain Haute-Couture ivory metallic embroidered lace gown dating back to his 1965 runway collection. This iconic designer created a very sculptural quality which was always allied with a ladylike essence. His garments have a body and a shape of their own. This absolutely stunning formal gown is fashioned from the most luxurious materials and of the finest craftsmanship. The 3-dimensional beadwork creates the perfect amount of drama to this timeless piece. The bodice is a low-cut plunge boned tulle corset strapless with hand applied embellishments in matching hues. The hourglass nipped-waist column construction finished this masterpiece off with the perfect ethereal vibe. I totally see this show-stopper gliding down the red carpet. The pictures say it all.

    Measurements
    Bust: 33-34 inches
    Waist: 26 inches
    Hips: up to 37 inches
Length top to waist: 10 inches
Length waist to hem: 40 inches

This 1965 Pierre Balmain Haute-Couture numbered gown is in excellent condition with no rips or holes. Built-in corset bodice and original metal zipper. The inside is immaculate and all hand-finished. Storage straps have darkened from age but not noticeable when worn. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
