Gorgeous Bill Gibb of London designer hand-knit sweater skirt set dating back to the mid-1970's. Bill Gibb drew his beautiful prints on paper and with the knit wear guru Keffe Fassett turned his art into fashion for all to enjoy. While attending the Royal College of Art his fellow fashion students were the iconic Ossie Clark and Zandra Rhodes, who shared an unbridled vision. His pieces are very collectible and found in museums around the globe.
This two-piece ensemble is everything you look for in a Bill Gibb piece. The soft wool has been worked into a stunning graphic pattern in hues of black, metallic silver and pale pink. Dramatic large scale bees fly over the front and back bodice. The effect is really breathtaking. The care to knit this together after carefully selecting matching hues must have taken weeks. I love the sparkling tassel and lean, long lace trimmed sleeves. The matching fully lined skirt has fantastic side slits. The silhouette is an ultra-flattering and I adore how thoroughly modern it feels! Perfect as a showstopper ensemble or wear them as separates.
