Breathtaking The House of Adair beaded pink stork scenic dress dating back to the mid-1920's. The House of Adair made beaded dresses in France for export to the Unites States, United Kingdom and Canada. The hand-crafted novelty pattern is really unbelievable; it must have taken weeks to finish. We needed to add many pictures so one can appreciate the masterful achievement. The stork has long been viewed as a powerful symbol of birth and new life, most notably in the story of where babies come from. In addition to birth, motherhood and protection, the stork also represents fidelity, endurance, and creativity. Extravagant garments like this from the 1920's remain a perennial favorite, perhaps because no other period combined such opulence with such youthful flair. The playful silhouette embodies the flapper's "party till dawn" attitude while the luxurious textiles whispers "wealth and status." The mark of a truly fashionable garment is that it remains stylish and timeless 100 years later, as does this couture piece.
