Breathtaking black beaded fringe skirt from the late and great Alexander Mcqueen. He was known for combining superb tailoring with a dramatic aesthetic inspired by various historical periods and sexually charged fetish wear. McQueen's thematic shows were as much theater as fashion, with each piece of clothing worked into a dramatic narrative plotted by McQueen. This gorgeous documented skirt, from his 2005 Fall/Winter collection, is wearable art at it's best. I love the flattering nipped-waist silhouette with tiers of movement whenever you walk. A hard-to-find and early Alexander McQueen treasure with endless possibilities.
