Breathtaking floral print cotton dress by the famous Alice Pollock British label. Pollock is known for starting Quorum, a London boutique and manufacturing business, in 1964. The following year she was joined in the business by Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell. Together they designed and made the clothing that filled the shop and attracted the attention of the fashion conscious. In 1969 the business was acquired by Radley, but Pollock continued to design for the label into the 1970's. This documented dress is a wonderful example of her genius. The bodice has a unique button-down beagle collar with flattering smocked empire waist. I love the flutter long-sleeve smocked cuff design. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust while skimmings the hip. A wearable investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
