Breathtaking forest green maxi dress by the famous Alice Pollock British label. Pollock is known for starting Quorum, a London boutique and manufacturing business, in 1964. The following year she was joined in the business by Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell. Together they designed and made the clothing that filled the shop and attracted the attention of the fashion conscious. In 1969 the business was acquired by Radley, but Pollock continued to design for the label into the 1970's. This 1930's inspired dress is a wonderful example of her genius. The bodice has a seductive high-neck button trimmed, large cut-out plunge with dramatic billow sleeves. I love the two different patterns used; a bold deco stripe and a symbol motif both in the same stunning hunter green hue. This figure flattering bias-cut garment accentuates the bust while skimmings the hip. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture.

This Alice Pollock designer dress is in wonderful condition with no rips, fade or holes. Garment slips over the head with perfectly working neck and wrist buttons. Only sign of age is one small spot by the back right cuff and an older repair by the back bottom. This garment is over 40 years old and is truly spectacular.
