A luxurious French Parisian, Jean Patou attributed, royal-purple silk gown dates back to the 1929-30 time period. As you can see from the example illustration, our gorgeous dress mirrors his documented design. The bodice has an elegant thin-strap scoopneck with dramatic sculpted backless construction. The matching two-tone lilac and chartreuse sash can total transform the look of the garment depending on how you style. The lower skirt is added in pointed inset seamed pieces typical of the time period and insanely hard to do on bias-cut fabric. Just look at the gorgeous tiered side trains. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture.
