This unbelievable, museum-quality early 1940's European embroidered gabardine & genuine chinchilla fur coat is a breathtaking piece of fashion history. The care to piece a full-length chinchilla coat together after carefully selecting matching hues must have taken days. The most astonishing part is the novelty blue mahonia berries hand beaded, sequin & metallic three-dimensional embroidery on the wool gabardine bib bodice. Love that high micro-collar and bold shoulders. The metallic sparkle adds a perfect amount of shimmer to this luxurious couture treasure. The flattering swing construction emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk to the actual hips. I can totally see an Old Hollywood starlet strolling down the street in this show-stopper. We added many detail pictures so one can appreciate the masterful achievement.

This early 1940's European embroidered chinchilla fur coat is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or discoloration. Hidden front-hooks and lined in rich black silk-satin which is also in wonderful shape. I wouldn't be surprised if this creation was by a famous French designer as it has all the hallmarks of a couture piece from this era. Signs of age are a few small holes to the wool gabardine bib which is not noticeable when worn. Please message for detailed pictures. This one of a kind garment is over 70 years old and is a rare investment that will increase in value.
