Breathtaking Lucile Manguin Haute-Couture ivory and green silk-satin cocktail from the 1950's "new look" era of fashion. Lucile Manguin was a Paris couturiere, designing from 1928 until 1960, whose house was known for spectacular fabrics and fine draping. She was the first couturier to show a collection at night, by candlelight! I adore the watercolor garden print silk-satin which in itself is wearable art. The bodice is an elegant sculpted wide shawl-collar design. The hourglass nipped-waist wiggle pencil-skirt finishes this masterpiece off with the perfect ethereal vibe. A beautiful hand-stitched couture dress in a rare larger size!

This vintage Lucile Manguin Haute-Couture cocktail is in excellent condition with no rips or holes. Perfectly working back metal-zipper. Only sign of age is a few very faint spots to the skirt, which blend into the watercolor pattern. This item is over 50 years old and is truly exquisite.
