This breathtaking hand-finished Edwardian theatrical jacket dates back to the early 1900's. This sensational garment, fashioned in mocha-brown velvet, is lavishly embroidered with metallic gold lamé cording. The highly stylized applique work perfectly captures the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The wide-cuff sleeves have a billow chiffon undershirt effect; a regal patina which will add pizzazz to any modern ensemble. It closes with a single front hook, allowing endless possibilities of how one would style this garment. I love the heavily pleated bustle style skirting of the jacket. This is an extraordinary example of Edwardian refinement and a special find for the serious collector.

This 1910's Edwardian antique jacket is in excellent wearable condition with no stains, discoloration or holes. Gorgeous hand-stitched lining. Signs of age are metallic loss to parts of the lamé appliues and slight shoulder wear. Overall construction is true couture level as one would expect from such a lavish theatrical piece.
