There are lots of lovely 1920's garments still around, but every once in a while I come across one that sets my heart a flutter! This is an extraordinarily beautiful and exceptional French couture museum quality nude silk-chiffon dance dress. The embroidered scenic floral motif is pure wearable art. It is embellished all over with glass-beads and rhinestones, whose circular cut creates a dazzling sparkle. The work is entirely hand applied with 3-dimensional aspects throughout. I love the low-cut plunge sleeveless bodice with smocked shoulders. The scalloped hemline really sets this garment apart from other flapper dresses of the time. It is amazing that a piece with this amount of presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. So romance and rare! The pictures say it all.

This antique French flapper dress is in excellent wearable condition with no rips or holes. The garment slips over the head with n additional closures. Only sign of wear is some minor missing beadwork and a few faint watermarks. I wouldn't be surprised if this creation was by a famous French designer, as it has all the hallmarks of a couture piece from this era. An investment dress that will increase in value.
