There are lots of lovely 1920's garments still around, but every once in a while I come across one that sets my heart a flutter! This is an extraordinarily beautiful and exceptional 1920's French museum quality sheer net-tulle dance dress. Iridescent glossy sequins are mixed with brilliant blue glass tube-beads whose faceted cut creates a dazzling sparkle! My favorite part is the novelty leaf motif that runs down the garment. This type of work is entirely hand-applied with 3-dimensional aspects throughout. I love the draped cowl-neck and stylized cut-out deco backside. The scalloped skirting really sets this garment apart from other flapper dresses of the time. So breathtaking and rare!

This antique French flapper dress is in excellent wearable condition with no stains, rips or discoloration. The garment slips over the head with no additional closures. Only sign of age is some missing sequins which is normal of antique garments with this amount of craftsmanship. The level of work in this piece would only be found in the highest couture of today. This dress is over 90 years old and is truly breathtaking!
