Breathtaking French Couture metallic-gold and turquoise flapper formal headpiece dating back to the mid 1920's. This is, without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary antique crowns I have ever laid eyes on. Gorgeous tube glass-beads and micro-sequins are hand-sewn onto a gorgeous black silk-velvet with lamé lining. The front has three bold leaves with unique metal medallion applique. I adore the dangling loop fringe which really captures the era. Worn around the head with tie closure so it stays securely in place while you dance the night away. Headpieces were very popular in the 1920's and were the crowning jewel for any socialite. This treasure has true opulent character and very hard to find in such wonderful condition as this one is in. The pictures say it all. This headpiece will fit a range of sizes around due to the tie closure. In excellent condition for an antique piece this delicate. Only sign of age is minor tarish to the lamé detailing. Truly exquisite and an investment piece that will only increase in value.
