Yvonne of Paris was one of the smaller elite couture houses operating during the art-deco era. This breathtaking garment, all hand-stitched, is fashioned with golden bugle beads on matching gold cotton-net and an inner cotton netting to help keep the stress off the exterior. The complex deco pattern formed from the sparkling beadwork is so opulent, I wouldn't be surprised if this dress was designed for a person of great importance. Original metallic lamé side sash still present. The dramatic asymmetric skirting really brings this gament to new levels.
