Breathtaking Bernard Perris Couture four-piece ensemble dating back to the early 1990's. At age 16, Perris ventured to Paris, where he eventually was hired as a couture assistant for Guy Laroche. He then went on to design debutante and wedding dresses under the Jacques Heim and Paul Bon labels, where he learned technique. After a short stay at Dior, Perris opened his own house. Bernard felt secure in exploring creative concepts that were outside of his familiar territory. He became very popular in America, appealing as he did to the big-spending, flashy customer who wanted to be seen in his bold, high-quality clothing. This gorgeous outfit is everything you would want in a Bernard Perris designer creation. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; gold and silver metallic leaf swirl large scale appliqués on a sheer ivory net-tulle. The strapless silk bodice top and matching high-waist pants work so well with the high-neck, full-skirted overlay. He then adds a cummerbund sash-belt for an extra hourglass look. It's rare to find ensembles that, through time, have stayed together and this is a serious show-stopper. The pictures say it all.
