If you were an "It Girl" in London during the 1960's and 1970's, Biba is where you would have shopped. This beautiful and ultra-rare white maxi is a perfect example of the brand's genius. As shown, this garment (without the matching jacket) even has a full-page spread in the book "The Biba Years" written by Barbara Hulanicki and Martin Pel. This dramatic set is fashioned from a soft mid-weight cotton with crochet-lace trimming throughout. It has all the classic hallmarks of Biba's best- the skinny high capped shoulders, gorgeous high-neck, over the top billow-sleeves and a semi sheer sculpted empire. The matching winged short-sleeve jacket definitely gives the ensemble an angelic antique Victorian vibe. One of the prettiest Bibas I have ever seen and to find both pieces together is a rarity in itself.
