If you were an “It Girl” in London during the 1960's and 1970's, Biba is where you would have shopped. This sensational navy-blue wool dress, dating back to the 1973 fall-winter collection, is a perfect example of the brand's genius. The fabric has a flattering stretch with all the classic hallmarks of Biba's best- the skinny high capped puff shoulders, skinny sleeves and dramatic low-cut plunge. The sparkling zig-zag glam rock sequins add the perfect of sparkle to this showstopper. I adore the nipped waist swing skirt design which is so easy to wear. The silhouette really channels that 1930's femme-fatale look Biba's founder, Barbara Hulanicki, loved so much. One of the most unique and interesting Bibas I have ever seen.

This Biba designer dress is in very good condition with no stains or discoloration. Closes with original back-zipper. Signs of wear include some thinning and old repairs to the wool. We also noticed some very minor sequin loss. An early Biba piece that is extremely collectible and infinitely wearable.
