Breathtaking Bob Mackie beaded ivory white silk goddess gown dating back to the mid 1970's. Bob Mackie began his career as a Hollywood costuming sketch artist, working for both Edith Head and Jean Louis. While working with designer Ray Aghayan, Mackie soon began creating evening clothing for the divas who would make him a household name- most notably Carol Burnett, Diana Ross and Cher. These early Bob Mackie gowns are rare, as they were not mass marketed and were incredibly expensive at the time. This heavenly creation is a perfect example of his genius. I can totally see Cher herself wearing it! The dress is fashioned in the highest quality silk satin and feels so luxurious when on. The bodice has a seductive asymmetric one-shoulder with a sheer illusion panel. The net has been beaded with a colorful abstract star motif and adds the perfect amount of drama to the garment. I love the flattering draped maxi length toga silhouette which has such beautiful movement.

Bust: 33-34 inches
Waist: 28 inches
Hips: up to 38 inches
Total Length: 58 inches

This Bob Mackie designer gown is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. The construction of this garment is impeccable and would make a beautiful bridal moment. Perfectly working back center zipper which is cleverly concealed by the draped panel. Only sign of age are a few tiny pulls which are hard to notice when worn. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
