The House of Dior has been an enduring icon of Haute Couture. When the talented Marc Bohan took over as head designer in 1960, he continued the Dior tradition of elegant design. This beautiful sunshine yellow linen tailored jacket, dating back to the mid-1960's, comes straight from the glamorous wardrobe of Zsa Zsa Gabor. This garment dates back to the height chic mod culture and was custom made for Zsa Zsa herself. As shown, here also looks to be another label attached which may have been for film production. The fabric used for this garment is breathtaking; mid-weight woven linen that has been fully lined. The jacket has a classic button-down front and mock pockets. As Dior said, "I will only say now that elegance must be the right combination of distinction, naturalness, care and simplicity." This timeless garment is a wonderful mix of these elements. This jacket so comfortable and effortless to wear. A rare piece of wearable celebrity fashion history.
