An incredibly grand and timeless full-skirt party dress by the Italian Couture House of Eleanora Garnett. The House of Garnett had elegant high-end boutiques in both Rome and New York during the 1950's. Her ready-to-wear pieces are hard to find but her couture creations, like this one, are extremely rare. I love the unique cobalt-blue and purple color combinations which in itself is so innovative. The fabric is a luxurious light weight micro-pleated silk chiffon with iridescent taffeta lining. The low-plunge sweetheart boned bodice has a flattering shawl-halter design. A nipped waist circle-skirt, with eye-catching asymmetric draping, finished this garment off with the perfect "New Look" vixen vibe. This beautiful Italian creation is pure wearable art at its best.
