Gorgeous Halston Couture watercolor rainbow stripe silk-chiffon slip dress with matching caftan style capelet dating back to the mid 1970's Throughout most of the seventies Halston epitomized the glamour, as well as the decadence of the era, becoming a central figure in the nightlife scene of New York's Studio 54. He was known for his soft body-conscious clothing in silk and chiffon. This ethereal watercolor ensemble is a perfect example of his genius. The thin-strap slip dress is fashioned from "light as a feather" double layered colorful silk chiffon which feels wonderful on the skin. The bias-cut pleated skirting is so figure flattering and effortless to wear. I adore the fluidity of the matching semi-sheer cropped capelet. The pictures say it all.
