Breathtaking 1972 museum quality large scale floral print silk-chiffon dress by Hanae Mori. Whilst on a Paris holiday in 1960, Mori had a fateful fitting with Coco Chanel. She claimed this meeting changed her life and she challenged herself to realize her own dream of designing Haute-Couture. By 1965 she had launched her own collection and had orders from prestigious stores such as Neiman Marcus. This is everything you look for in a Hanae Mori garment. Made of feather light silk chiffon that has been custom screened with one of her stunning watercolor large scale prints. The dress is also lined in pure silk so it literally feels weightless! The perfect mix of colors is pure Hanae and it has her signature draping effect. The bodice is a gorgeous low-plunge beaded empire with nipped waist. I adore the sheer illusion bell-sleeves. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust and skims the hips as it flows down the body. A timeless dress that is perfect for any modern event.
