Absolutely gorgeous Harvey Berin designer full-skirted 'New Look' bridal dress dating back to the mid-1950's. I'm so in love with this fabric; glass-beaded Chantilly lace flowers and silk-velvet leaves appliquéd into the most gorgeous semi-sheer ivory silk! Harvey Berin opened his business in 1921, and by the 1940's he was an important name in women’s high fashion. His designer, Karen Stark, adapted the latest styles from Paris each season. I can definitely see the Christian Dior influence. As Karen Stark said, "I like to use beautiful fabrics and unusual trimmings. I design for everyone–but always very feminine women.” This ethereal ivory silk fully-boned strapless dress is a perfect example of their genius. I love the dramatic ruby-red silk satin sash bow! The hourglass nipped waist flows into a fantastic full circle-skirt with interior petticoat attached. This would make such an epic wedding or holiday look. The pictures say it all!
