An absolutely gorgeous Luis Estevez couture red chantilly-lace and silk satin hourglass cocktail dress dating back to the late 1950's. Starting out at Patou in Paris, Estevez went on to design under his own name to great acclaim in 1955. He was considered one of the brilliant young designers in the class of Galanos, Scaasi and Pauline Trigere. This seductive dress has all the characteristics that make his designs so desirable. The garment is lined in a luxurious mid-weight silk satin that feels sensational against the skin. The bodice is an alluring low-cut sweetheart plunge with little cap sleeves and sheer backside. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust and skims the hips as it flows to flirty gathered back fishtail. As Estevez said: "When I review my career, the first thing that comes to mind are my many fashion firsts and my talent's built-in drive to doing things as they had never been done before." You do not easily find this level of workmanship on garments today. The pictures say it all!
