Truly a wonderful and unusual designer cocktail dress by Maisonette. This garment came from one of their models who explained that it was a couture one-of-a-kind sample that walked the runway! I think this show-stopper is one of the best examples of 1960's mod chic fashion I have seen in a long time. The design was obviously inspired by Courreges and Cardin who were the leaders in this look. The silhouette is an ultra-flattering, fully lined tiered sleeveless shift made of "light as a feather" black silk-chiffon. I adore the fuchsia and green beadwork which must have taken days to hand-assemble. A perfect vintage look for any modern event!
