Incredibly rare and highly collectible Edward Molyneux metallic lace jumpsuit from his 1969-1970 collection. After a period working for the British fashion designer Lucile, Molyneux opened his fashion house in Paris and dressed the likes of Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Gertrude Lawrence, Margaret Leighton, and Vivien Leigh. He firmly believed in simplicity; subtle in color and perfect in cut. This breathtaking jumpsuit was custom made for Lebanese-born French actress and film director Delphine Seyrig. I adore the sparkling metallic threaded floral-garden lace mixed with the rose colored crepe-silk underlay. The bodice has a chic scalloped illusion neckline which flows into angelic bell-sleeves. The wide palazzo pant legs flow beautifully when worn. As Caroline Milbank once pointed out, "Molyneux was the designer to whom a fashionable woman would turn if she wanted to be absolutely right without being utterly predictable." We added many pictures so one can understand and appreciate this couture beauty.
