A gorgeous early 1970's Oscar de la Renta designer coat in one of the most interesting swiggle prints I have ever seen. Oscar de la Renta was one of the world's leading fashion designers. Trained by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Antonio Castillo, he became internationally known in the 1960's as one of the couturiers to dress Jacqueline Kennedy. This exquisite garment is a wonderful example of his genius. I love the mid-weight cotton blend velvet which feels luxurious when worn. Just look at the vibrant colors! This wide collar jacket closes with an elegant double-breasted design. The lean, long sleeves are so chic and there are even hidden side pockets. This is that versatile piece every fashionista looks for. Perfect with slacks or for the dressiest occasion.
