Extremely rare Ossie Clark for Radley designer moss crepe dress dating back to his 1970 collection. English fashion designer, Raymond Ossie Clark, was a leading light in the London swinging sixties fashion era and is now renowned for his romantic flowing gowns and seductive ensembles. This stunning garment, with beautiful 'floating daisies' Celia Birtwell print worked in, is a perfect example of his talent. The bodice has an alluring low plunge with key-hole tie. I adore those short puff-sleeves. A nipped waist swing skirt with center covered buttons finishes this dress off with the perfect femme fatale vibe. Ossie Clark’s designs are right in step with 21st-century style. His genius comes from his ability to borrow from the past but capture the spirit of the now, creating timeless designs with a strong sense of place. In Judith Watt’s book, Ossie Clark: 1965-1974, Anna Sui explains, "He dressed the woman we all wanted to be: the rock star’s girlfriend." So as long as there is rock, Clark’s look is one that won’t fall from style.

This 1970 Ossie Clark for Radley designer dress is in very good condition with no rips, stains or holes. Garment closures with front covered buttons. Only sign of age is faint color variation on the skirting which is inherent with moss-crepe and not immediately noticeable when worn. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
