A totally gorgeous Ossie Clark for Radley blue green floral print silk jacquard peplum blouse with matching skirt dating back to the mid-1970's. English fashion designer, Raymond "Ossie" Clark, was a leading light in the London swinging sixties fashion era and is now renowned for his romantic flowing gowns and unique ensembles. Ossie Clark vintage clothing is rare and highly collectible. This stunning set is fashioned in the prettiest pale green blue seafoam floral print silk jacquard that seems to change color as it reflects light. The ruffled blouse has a fantastic neck-tie and lean, long sleeves. I love the nipped back-tie peplum silhouette which is a wonderful nod to late 1930's design. The matching high-waist swing skirt finishes this ensemble off perfectly. Ossie Clark’s designs are right in step with 21st-century style. His genius comes from his ability to borrow from the past but capture the spirit of the now, creating timeless designs with a strong sense of place. In Judith Watt’s book, Ossie Clark: 1965-1974, Anna Sui explains, "He dressed the woman we all wanted to be: the rock star’s girlfriend." So as long as there is rock, Clark’s look is one that won’t fall from style.
