Magnificent Pierre Cardin mod dress in an elegant pink and white color combination from his iconic 1966 documented collection. In 1951 Cardin opened his own couture house and by 1957, he started a ready-to-wear line; a bold move for a French couturier at the time. The look most associated with Cardin is the “Space Age” collections of the 1960's and early 1970's which made some of the most futuristic clothing of the era. This stunning modernist dress is a perfect example of his genuine. The fabric used for this garment is amazing- signature relief textured graphic pattern in a gorgeous cotton linen. I adore the dramatic block-color trim which frames the dress beautifully! The figure flattering a-line silhouette glades down a woman's shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. A wonderful piece of wearable designer history. "The clothing I prefer are those I invent for a life that doesn’t yet exist– the world of tomorrow." Pierre Cardin
