Gorgeous early 1970's Thea Porter British designer dress fashioned in a luxurious black and white floral cotton-brocade. The stunning billow sleeve are made up of a semi-sheer black chiffon and the mix of fabrics is perfection . The bodice is trimmed with velvet and has an optional low-plunge when unhooked. I love the maxi length swing style skirting which looks beautiful when you walk.
Thea Porter was largely inspired by fashion from the Victorian and Renaissance eras. This is easily identifiable by intricately decorated and unique patterns. During the early 1970's, her clothing attracted many celebrity customers who enjoyed wearing her erotic, yet comfortable, creations whose secret was to conceal rather than reveal. She admits her fashions were created in that particular style as she "has always felt very envious of Arab women because they can hide behind their clothes, it is a very protected and secure way to feel." This dress is truly exquisite and we took many pictures so you can see why.
