An absolutely gorgeous and incredibly rare Thea Porter couture metallic gold lamé and semi-sheer silk chiffon maxi skirt dating back to the early 1970's. The design is truly incredible; wide panels of black silk chiffon framed by luxurious paisley patterned metallic lamé. The workmanship is superb and the effect is so beautiful with movement. I love the wide band nipped waist and yards upon yards of fabric used for such a dramatic result. Thea Porter was largely inspired by fashion from Arabian women and is easily identifiable by her intricately decorated and layered fabrics. During the early 1970's, her clothing attracted many celebrity customers who enjoyed wearing her erotic yet comfortable creations whose secret was to conceal rather than reveal. The pictures say it all.
