The French designer, Emanuel Ungaro, imagined colorful and elegant draped garments with an emphasis on flamboyant patterns that enhanced a sense of pure femininity. He dared to mix clashing prints that created a strong visual impact. This ultra rare ensemble, dating back to his 1977 spring/summer haute couture collection, is a wonderful example of his aesthetic. The silk fabrics used are gorgeous; red tiny-floral print and vertical stripes with a shaded effect. The blouse has gorgeous enamel buttons and a metallic branded waist sash-belt. I love those billow puff sleeves with lean zipper-wrists. The matching high-waisted slightly pleated peasant swing skirt is so light and effortless to wear. With this rare designer set, you have one complete outfit or amazing separates.

This 1977 Emanuel Ungaro  4521, Printemps-Eté designer ensemble is in very good condition with all original Haute Couture finishes. Skirt closes with hand-set metal zipper. Signs of wear are some faint yellowing to parts of the fabric and a few pin-sized tiny holes to the skirt which are not noticeable due to the red lining. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
